Cracked wax leather is treated with hot wax during the finishing process which to mimic the distinctive appearance of vintage distressed leathers, the surface of the leather naturally cracks in a subtle way on the surface when handled leaving a beautiful vintage finish to the sofa, this cracked effect on the leather means that any minor scratches through use simply blend into the surface giving you a remarkably durable leather..
