JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE BROGUES - BROWN / TAN. UK 9 - VERY GOOD CONDITION. A fine vintage pair of cap-toe semi-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful brown / tan / mahogany? Calf leather from Joseph Cheaney - perfect town-and-country footwear. They are in very good used condition, overall - notwithstanding some creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair have been professionally fitted with brand new'SVIG' non-slip rubber over-soles and are unworn since. In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaneys in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around. The width fitting is'G' - which is the'wider-than-standard' width fitting. The shoes feature leather soles (with brand new'SVIG' non-slip rubber over-soles), calf leather uppers and lightweight leather / linen linings - plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
