Rare vintage tan leather bag Venice Simplon Orient Express Railwayana
Rare Vintage tan leather bag. This is a Venice Simplon Orient Express. These are rare because as far as I know, they are only available from the Orient Express onboard gift shop. Lovely buttery soft leather in a tan colour with gold coloured hardware.
Inside, there is a gold embossed Venice Simplon Orient Express logo. Comes with original dustbag, also with Venice Simplon logo.
This is a vintage item and as such there are some signs of wear appropriate to its age on the edges of the bag that I have tried to evidence in the pictures. The zip is ever so slightly stiff although it opens and closes fine (probably barely noticeable to most people but I pride myself on accurate descriptions). I think this is due to how it has been stored by the previous owner. Comes with the original dustbag which looks lovely. It isn't in pristine condition as the drawstring cord is frayed but it opens and closes fine.
This is a real piece of Railwayana for anyone interested in the Orient Express or just a beautiful vintage bag if that's your thing. It gave me real Agatha Christie vibes and I love the fact that it has the story of a journey behind it. On this occasion, tracked 48 hour service with signature which I can't seem to select as an option.I try to use environmentally or recycled packaging wherever possible.
