Schlesinger Vintage British Tan Belting Leather Lawyer Doctor Briefcase
This Schlesinger Vintage Belting Leather Briefcase has some minor, easy to fix problems, otherwise in very good vintage condition. There are superficial marks and scratches on the exterior as well as some wear and separation at the corners on the bottom of the briefcase.
Interior look very good but a seem has come off one side of the brief case. Even though large in size this is purely cosmetic and can easily be fixed. It is simply a matter of choosing the right adhesive to glue the fabric to the body of the briefcase. I used to do that but now have learned when it comes to vintage valuables it is best to let the new owner decide the proper fixing method.
This briefcase has a combination lock which works and the mechanism to change the combination is cleverly and elegantly hidden under an snapped leather piece. The brief case measures 17.75"W x 14"H x 7D.The depth is flexible so the 7" can stretch to 8", maybe more. The hang tag does not seem to have been used before and it is darker than the rest of the briefcase. Please review all the photos.
