Tan Vintage Leather Executive Briefcase / Case Brass Fittings Black Interior

A vintage briefcase constructed from leather with a pair of brass locks / clasps and a single leather carrying handle with brass fixings. The top of the case includes an embossed inscription that says: GITS Safety First - Patent No. The case opens to reveal a black interior and a blue inner flap with a branded logo that reads'Intertype London'.

This case looks to date from circa 1930's and with the exception of a slight tare on one edge of the lining flap (see photos) is in good vintage condition. Are printed on the outer cover in black. It is best to remove any dust or dirt using a soft cloth and when necessary a mild detergent or hot water, wiping the surface until it is clean. Do not use any abrasive solutions or cleaning materials and do not use an excessive amount of water. The ironwork should be wiped dry of any remaining moisture.

Small areas of rust or corrosion can be removed using sandpaper or a bronze wire brush being careful not to damage the metalwork. Regular dusting should help keep your ironwork in tiptop condition.
