Vintage Bespoke John Lobb Burlington Tan Derby Size 8-8.5F + Bespoke Trees

For sale is a vintage bespoke pair of John Lobb Burlington short wingtip derbys, or a Navvy cut. They are in beautiful condition, and are a rare example of fine English shoe making. The shoes have been worn very little, as the original Phillips heel rubber counters show, and the soles are only lightly marked, with no wear to the thinner channeled edges.

The leather is incredibly soft and supple, with almost invisible pores. There is some dark spotting on the toe caps of the left shoe from water, and some very light scratches on the right shoes cap. Both shoes are pretty much identical.

These shoes are fully hand welted and made in the St. The stitching is immaculate, with the best example being the tightly formed heels. There is no cracking, dryness, or notable marking.

There is no odour, and only light marking to the insoles. The three royal warrants are on full display and in excellent condition. Included are the Wildsmith shoe trees, whilst not original, fit perfectly and could be mistaken for the original trees. I will dispatch in a solid box, well wrapped.
