Fred Scott Supporto task chair in really good condition for age. Frame is made from polished aluminium and the seat pads are covered in tan leather.

There are a few scratches and marks on the metal and creases and cracks on the leather which you'd expect with a vintage item but these in no way affect the use of the chair. Please zoom in on the images to see any imperfections.

Not only comfortable but super stylish also. Height and back gases work perfectly and the chair has black castors - perfect for any floor. Designer Frederick Scott designed the chair in 1979 and such was its innovative design, it revolutionised office chairs of the time and is now seen as a major influence on office furniture as we know it today. The Supporto chair was the chair of choice for the Apple Studio in Cupertino and is Designer Jonathan Ive's favourite chair.

The design of the Supporto chair won national and international acclaim and Scott's designs won numerous awards including a Design Award from the Design Council. Fred Scott became a tutor at the Royal College of Art and was there for many years.

When new, the Supporto chair comes in many different shapes and sizes and in a polished steel or powder coated finish. The seat pads come in different colours and fabrics. Collection only from central London, close to Waterloo in SE1.
